Toaster won the opportunity to partner with the team of scientists over at the Natural History Museum, to build an experience that encourages youngsters to explore the outdoors. Gamification was the only way to go! Projects like this don’t come along that often and the team were faced with many challenges, least of which was how to code the tech into a PWA (Progressive Web Application) that had to make use of all of the capabilities held natively on your device. Sitting above this layer had to be a compelling and interesting user experience, that appealed to a child’s sense of curiosity and adventure. Skin all this with beautiful illustration and you have a winner. Literally.

Google Playtown - Korea
The team of full-stack developers at Toaster were tasked at building a series of web-based games as part of a Google Play launch initiative in Korea. The games engagement had to be coded to perform optimally on mobile devices. The creative supplied was a wonderful blend of Asian and Western aesthetics. You began by electing your avatar before entering the game experience that leads you through a series of fun challenges, ending in Playtown with special offers on the Google Play online store.
