toaster.co Began as Google Creative Lab partners in London around 2012 and has since opened offices in San Francisco, Singapore, New Delhi and Jakarta broadening their portfolio of clients in various markets. Their digital DNA is coupled with a keen sense of design and creative insight. Agile project development stemming off strategy and UX cycles, progressive web applications, campaigns and various forms of frontend and backend development projects are only a portion of the work being produced here.
Google | YouTube : Working alongside various Google Product Managers, all development had to adhere to strict compliance (brand and technical), undergo code reviews and pass Toaster’s own Quality Assurance tests before launch. Hosted on GCP utilizing Google’s App Engine platform ensured all builds were stable and could handle extremely high volumes of traffic. A few noteworthy projects include YouTube Creator Services Directory with a front-end profile editor and back-end moderators CMS built behind Google’s firewall ; YouTube/Advertise redesign and build then adapted across 19 markets and Google Hire.
Machine Learning : spanning various R&D initiatives and recently working alongside a creative technologist / data scientist to develop a programme of work for a machine learning project. Working with a team to define the problem and identify the models / algorithms that will help find our solution. Project planning and scoping. A tech-for-good game for the Natural History Museum, Toaster delivered the entire product cycle from naming, UX, UI, Illustration through to PWA launch. Working closely with the NHM science team, incorporating key facts the Progressive Web App performs in much the same way as a Native App accessing features on the user’s device but is much more cost effective to build and maintain. Moving Brands for Lexmark, alongside motion elements and a brand film, the digital team at Moving Brands developed a launch site and explored possible creative solutions that extended across Iconography and the UI and UX for Lexmark's various firmware and software products.
